Prosecutors are expected to file a fugitive from justice warrant tomorrow against a Los Angeles man accused of carrying out a swatting incident that led to a fatal police shooting in Kansas, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

The hearing for Tyler Raj Barriss (dob 11/09/92) is expected to take place Wednesday in Department 30 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center, 210 W. Temple St., Los Angeles.

Barriss pleaded no contest on May 10, 2016, to one felony count each of false report of bomb to agency or business and malicious informing of false bomb in case GA097330. The defendant was sentenced to two years and eight months in jail.
