A volunteer football coach pleaded no contest today to sexually assaulting five boys, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Jaime Jimenez, 48, of Los Angeles pleaded no contest to two counts each of continuous sexual abuse and lewd act on a child 14 to 15 years old, all felonies, and one misdemeanor count of sexual battery. The five counts involved five separate male victims between 13 to 16 years old at the time of the assaults.

All the incidents occurred between August 2002 and December 2014. Deputy District Attorney Reinhold Mueller of the Sex Crimes Division said the incidents did not occur on school grounds.

Mueller, who prosecuted the case, said Jimenez is facing 36 years, two months in state prison and lifetime registration as a sex offender when he is sentenced. Sentencing is set for Jan. 13, 2017, in Department 119 at the Foltz Criminal Justice Center.

The case, BA435819, was investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department Northeast Community Police Station.
