August 7, 2018: Student Athlete Charged with Sexual Assaults

A college student was charged today with sexually assaulting women, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced.

Deputy District Attorney Julie Kramer said Davis Moreno-Jaime (dob 12/4/98) of Loma Linda faces one felony count each of forcible rape and false imprisonment by violence and one misdemeanor count each of sexual battery and battery.

Arraignment is scheduled today in Department S of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, San Fernando Branch.

According to the criminal complaint, Moreno-Jaime, a student athlete at California State University, Northridge, sexually assaulted one woman in January, the prosecutor said. The defendant allegedly sexually assaulted another woman and battered a third woman last month, the prosecutor added.

The defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of 12 years in state prison if convicted as charged. The prosecutor is requesting bail be set at $1 million.

Case PA091406 remains under investigation by the California State University, Northridge Police Department and the Los Angeles Police Department, Devonshire Division.
