August 7, 2018: MEDIA ADVISORY: District Attorney Jackie Lacey Honors Two Men and a Woman for Helping Stop Violent Crimes

Tomorrow, District Attorney Jackie Lacey will honor three courageous citizens who helped stop crimes in Lakewood, Bellflower and a series of home invasion robberies in Long Beach, Torrance, Westchester, Covina, Sylmar and Riverside.

The honorees include a 65-year-old Bellflower woman who saw a man getting attacked with a golf club and jumped in the middle; a 70-year-old Detroit man who stopped a criminal who was viciously beating a sheriff’s deputy; and a 34-year-old Redlands man who put his fear aside in the middle of a home invasion robbery and did not rest until the defendant was held to answer for all of his crimes.
