A man and a woman who led police in a pursuit and shootout which ended in Vernon with a standoff with police were charged today, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Dylan Andres Lindsey (dob 7/11/94) faces one count of murder and eight counts of assault with a firearm upon a peace officer.

Codefendant Alison Hart (dob 11/5/81) faces one count each of accessory after the fact – knowledge of crime – and fleeing a pursuing peace officer’s motor vehicle while driving recklessly.

Arraignment for Hart was scheduled today but continued to June 4 in Department J of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Norwalk Branch. An arraignment for Lindsey has not yet been scheduled.

Lindsey is charged with the shooting death of Gurpreet Singh, 45, at a Downey liquor store on May 7, prosecutors said.

Three days later Downey police officers attempted to pull over a vehicle driven by Hart with Lindsey as a passenger. Hart allegedly led police on a pursuit while Lindsay shot multiple times at Los Angeles County Sheriff deputies, Downey police officers and a Bell Gardens police officer. The pursuit ended with a standoff near Downey Road and Bandini Boulevard, prosecutors added.

Deputy District Attorney Antonella Nistorescu of the Crimes Against Peace Officers Section is the assigned prosecutor.

The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s and Downey Police Departments.
