November 29, 2018: Lancaster Man Charged with Murder of Elderly Great Aunt

A Lancaster man has been charged with beating his 93-year-old great aunt to death with a bat at their home earlier this month, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced today.

Deputy District Attorney SuSu Scott said Marc Robert Ellison (dob 8/6/82) faces one count of murder with an allegation that a bat was used as a deadly and dangerous weapon.

Arraignment is scheduled today in Department A01 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Antelope Valley Branch. Case MA075081 was filed on Nov. 9.

Ellison is charged with killing Mildred Mary Jensen in the 44200 block of 23rd Street West on Nov. 7, the prosecutor said.

The defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of 26 years to life in state prison. Bail is set at $1 million.

The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
