A former Arcadia Police Department officer pleaded not guilty today to one count of grand theft by embezzlement for allegedly charging more than $50,000 for personal items, including making a down payment on a motorcycle, on a police association’s credit card, the District Attorney’s Office announced.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey announced today that the Rite Aid Corporation was ordered to pay more than $12.3 million to settle a civil lawsuit alleging that some 600 California Rite Aid stores unlawfully handled and disposed of hazardous materials.
