A 24-year-old Van Nuys man was charged today with attempted murder after he allegedly set a homeless woman on fire as she slept on a bus bench in Van Nuys, the District Attorney’s Office announced.

December 28, 2012: Pair Charged in Pasadena Fatal Collision

Two alleged gang members, a male and a female, who led Pasadena police on a brief chase on Christmas Day that ended in a fatal crash, killing two people, were charged today with murder and other counts, the District Attorney’s Office announced.

The drivers of two cars that allegedly were street racing on West Covina streets on Christmas day were charged today with murder in connection with the death of a 90-year-old wheelchair-bound woman who was thrown out of the van in which she was riding when it was hit by one of the vehicles.

December 19, 2012: Man Charged in Temple Bomb Threat Case

A Los Angeles man accused of calling in bomb threats to the Wilshire Boulevard Temple was charged by the District Attorney’s Office today with making malicious false bomb reports and vandalism of religious property. The charges were alleged to hate crimes.
